Melting in the Heat
There is nothing worse than being too hot. At least that is how I feel now that I am getting a little older. I was okay with the heat until I hit my fifties, and since then I just can’t stand it. My air conditioner has certainly been my best friend for the past few summers, but unfortunately it is broken at the moment and I am melting from the heat.
I have tried to bring out my fans into my apartment, but honestly they don’t work very well at all. Sure, they do move the air around a bit, but moving hot air just doesn’t do it for me – I need my cold air from my air conditioner.
My brother-in-law has offered to come take a look at my air conditioner, but I don’t know if I can wait. He doesn’t really have a great track record for showing up on time, and I don’t know if I can stand this heat long enough for him to show up. I know he means well, but since he is so overcommitted (the price of never saying no), I think that I won’t be able to count on him.
So, I have been looking for someone who offers air conditioner service San Diego, and thankfully there are some that do. I was able to setup an appointment for later this week, so I am hoping that they will be able to fix everything up quickly. But until they get here and determine the problem, I guess I will have to wait.
I think that in the meantime, I will go run myself a bath and pour a bucket of ice into it. At least that will cool me off for a little while – I just can’t wait until my air conditioner is working again.
